The Institute of Higher Education “Eugenio Bona” in Biella has recently adopted V-App Smart Vision Analytics in order to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff. This is an artificial intelligence solution, developed by the synergy between Cisco Meraki and Bizmate.

The V-App solution, integrated with the Cisco Meraki Smart Cameras infrastructure, allows the user to: analyze people flows, monitor crowded areas into buildings, be alerted anytime social distancing is not fulfilled, receive real-time notifications on the use of PPE. The frequency of use of the restrooms is also analyzed, in order to optimize sanitization activities.

Data collected from the Cisco Meraki cameras are anonymously processed, in full compliance with the privacy regulations, since faces are not identified by the Smart Cameras, only human shapes are.

V-App analyzes the images viewed by the cameras, allowing the user to set thresholds and sending alerts accordingly. It also generates statistics, collecting high-interest data through a series of easy-to-read dashboards. A multi-channel messaging system can send audio alerts, e-mails, SMS, or notifications using the most common instant messaging platforms such as Telegram, Messenger, or Cisco Webex.

New Trial Licences Promo
With the aim of satisfying the huge requests from customers and partners, we decided to propose a new promotional trial license for V-App Enterprise valid for each product to be used with no limits for 30 days. COVID-19 Initiative Extended!

Initially, the app could be used free of charge until April 30, but since the pandemic seems to be unlikely to decrease in the brief term, we decided to extend the trial period until June 30, allowing as many people as possible to use it without having to buy a full license.

Many people around the world in last weeks have been forced to stay at home. Schools have canceled classes, retail stores, bars and other gathering places have shuttered. Major events were called off with a domino-like effect. These closures are all attempts to encourage social distancing, a crucially important public health intervention that can help stop transmission of the Covid-19 as argued from the major health authorities of the Countries involved in this, that seems to be the biggest global emergency, since the end of the WWII.

Time for change in V-App’s house. More services more powerful tools.

Thanks to our prodigious team of developers, we are happy to unveil the latest version of the V-App Smart Integration Platform. Here in V-App we are always very proud of the things we do, but taking part to the most important meeting reserved to the Cisco Meraki sales force, and so spending two days with the best sales team we ever meet, finally giving a face to the voices only listened so many times at the phone before, guys, it’s priceless!
