In occasione del Cisco Partner Summit siamo stati insigniti del titolo di Transformation / Innovation Partner of the Year per il 2021.

Un riconoscimento che per noi ha un doppio valore; primo perché dimostra la qualità di quanto Bizmate ha saputo realizzare fin qui e secondo perché è la testimonianza dell’impegno e l’entusiasmo che tutto il nostro team ha quotidianamente profuso nel proprio lavoro, anche a fronte dei limiti e delle difficoltà causate dai due anni “un po’ particolari ” – diciamo così – che sono trascorsi.

Un enorme ringaziamento va quindi a tutta la famiglia Bizmate e in secondo luogo, ma non meno importante, all’intero Team Cisco che ha creduto in noi fin dall’inizio.

EGP ha sperimentato con successo a Catania un innovativo pallone aerostatico per assicurare la connessione wireless nei cantieri. Molti i vantaggi: per l’operatività, per le persone e per l’ambiente.

I palloni aerostatici, i primi veicoli volanti inventati dall’uomo nel Settecento, sono ancora oggi di grande utilità in numerosi campi, dalla meteorologia allo studio dell’atmosfera, e in tempi recenti sono tornati alla ribalta anche per le telecomunicazioni: grazie all’avvento di nuovi materiali e tecnologie, oggi sono in grado di alloggiare sensori, antenne e dispositivi di rete.

Proprio in quest’ambito si è conclusa da poco una sperimentazione di Enel Green Power per la connettività avanzata. Presso l’Innovation Lab di Catania, in Italia, abbiamo testato con successo un prototipo di pallone in grado di funzionare come struttura per la connessione wireless.

Lo scopo finale è impiegare aerostati di questo tipo per garantire comunicazioni affidabili nei grandi siti di costruzione degli impianti di EGP nelle zone prive di infrastrutture. La soluzione consentirà alle persone che lavorano nei cantieri di contattare in tempo reale i colleghi a distanza, e abiliterà l’utilizzo delle più innovative tecnologie di robotizzazione e automazione, in particolare strumenti di Internet of Things come smart-glasses e altri dispositivi individuali.

Il progetto è stato condotto in collaborazione con l’azienda siciliana BizMate, specializzata nell’integrazione di sistemi, simulando le condizioni più frequenti riscontrate nelle centrali elettriche alimentate da fonti rinnovabili, in particolare quelle di maggiori dimensioni e situate in aree isolate.

In questi giorni la scuola si trova al centro dell’agenda politica e amministrativa italiana date le numerose incertezze sulla sua riapertura prevista il 14 settembre, causate dall’aumento dei casi di Covid-19 in Italia. Il punto su cui concordano tutte le parti in causa è che scuola ed università in presenza debbano ripartire garantendo standard di sicurezza adeguati all’emergenza globale che stiamo affrontando. L’insegnamento da remoto, inizialmente adottato come soluzione temporanea, sebbene si sia rivelato un’ottima alternativa all’esperienza scolastica tradizionale nonché “trailer” di quello che probabilmente sarà un futuro fatto di integrazione tra partecipazione fisica e virtuale, ha tuttavia dimostrato una serie di limiti infrastrutturali e didattici difficilmente colmabili, ecco perché ancora di più, il rientro a scuola in presenza è fondamentale. Dalla ricerca di nuovi spazi, all’organizzazione degli orari scolastici tenendo conto di diversi fattori critici come i flussi di studenti, del personale scolastico, delle aree maggiormente interessate da eventuali assembramenti, alla dislocazione dei banchi, ai banchi stessi con l’introduzione di nuovi modelli monoposto, sono molte le variabili che si cercano di raccordare al fine di garantire il corretto svolgimento della vita scolastica.

Tuttavia, mentre le soluzioni sul tavolo sono in continuo divenire e lo saranno presumibilmente anche dopo l’inizio delle lezioni, con aggiustamenti ed iniziative individuali (già oggi le varie Regioni italiane prendono decisioni diverse le une dalle altre) gli unici punti fermi sui quali concordano le parti in causa sono l’adozione del distanziamento sociale e l’uso delle mascherine, rimedi che nei mesi scorsi hanno contribuito in modo decisivo a far abbassare la curva dei contagi. Si tratta di due soluzioni molto semplici, efficaci con effort molto bassi ma con il solo punto debole della regolarità della loro applicazione ed utilizzo. Si è recentemente constatato che mantenere il distanziamento sociale all’interno di spazi chiusi è molto difficile e l’uso della mascherina viene spesso disatteso, il più delle volte per una mancanza di controllo. La tecnologia può colmare questa lacuna grazie l’Intelligenza artificiale. V-App Social Distancing Monitoring è un sistema integrato con smartcamera ad alte prestazioni della famiglia Mv Sense di Cisco Meraki che rileva in tempo reale la distanza tra persone e l’utilizzo della mascherina da parte loro. Inoltre, contestualizzando i flussi in determinati luoghi come: scuole, università, azienda o enti, V-App crea mappe termiche in grado di tracciare i movimenti dell’utenza per capire meglio quali sono le aree di assembramento ottimizzando le operazioni di sanificazione delle zone sensibili come mense o toilettes, grazie ad un pannello di controllo costituito da grafici ed immagini in live streaming che consente all’operatore di avere una panoramica completa e aggiornata della situazione.

V-App inoltre rileva l’evento e invia notifiche di allerta attraverso le piattaforme di messaggistica istantanea più diffuse (Webex, Messenger,Telegram e Whatsapp) o tramite e-mail e sms o avvisi multimediali su monitor e dispositivi audio. V-App Social Distancing Monitoring è uno strumento fondamentale che agevola i processi decisionali rafforzando la leadership poiché si basa sulla robustezza dei dati forniti da dispositivi di classe enterprise come le smartcamera Mv Sense di Cisco Meraki rielaborati da un motore software stabile e progettato per gestire grandi quantità di dati.

“L’Istituto Superiore Bona di Biella è stata la prima scuola italiana ad adottare V-App in occasione degli esami di maturità per valutarne l’efficacia in un ambiente complesso come una scuola, con ambienti dedicati ad usi diversi (laboratori, aule, palestre etc.) e dove, seppur osservando le prescrizioni di sicurezza anti-Covid-19, alunni e personale scolastico sono tornati con maggiore serenità.”

Privacy
L’uso di telecamere tocca inevitabilmente questioni legate alla privacy. V-App Social Distancing Monitoring basandosi su un algoritmo di riconoscimento di oggetti, è sì in grado di distinguere la figura umana oppure particolari forme come mascherine o altri oggetti, ma non raccogliendo dati biometrici non esiste alcuna possibilità che si possa risalire all’identità dei soggetti, pertanto la soluzione rispetta ogni disposizione sulla privacy.

Wearing the face mask when in public, It’s our collective responsibility.

Social Distancing Monitoring is the latest App developed for Meraki infrastructures equipped with Mv Sense Camera, it allows to monitor in real-time the distance between people in a given area, sending alerts when two or more people stand close less than one and a half meters to each other, for more than 30 seconds. Born from the idea of making a contribution to the fight against the spread of the Coronavirus, thanks to the contribution of our users, it is constantly updated and enriched with new functions, the last developed in order of time is “Live Mask Recognition”.

As we all know, the face mask is the first barrier against the virus, that’s why in most indoor places such as public buildings and shopping malls, wearing it is mandatory, and in other places, it’s highly recommended as well. However, unfortunately not everyone does wear the mask, for this reason, we have thought of a new feature that exploits object recognition capability to develop a new tool that respecting the privacy of people helps store managers to maintain high-security standards, identifying customers without the mask, in real-time, reporting them to the supervisor or sending automatically voice and or visual messages, inviting the given customer to wear it.

The Institute of Higher Education “Eugenio Bona” in Biella has recently adopted V-App Smart Vision Analytics in order to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff. This is an artificial intelligence solution, developed by the synergy between Cisco Meraki and Bizmate.

The V-App solution, integrated with the Cisco Meraki Smart Cameras infrastructure, allows the user to: analyze people flows, monitor crowded areas into buildings, be alerted anytime social distancing is not fulfilled, receive real-time notifications on the use of PPE. The frequency of use of the restrooms is also analyzed, in order to optimize sanitization activities.

Data collected from the Cisco Meraki cameras are anonymously processed, in full compliance with the privacy regulations, since faces are not identified by the Smart Cameras, only human shapes are.

V-App analyzes the images viewed by the cameras, allowing the user to set thresholds and sending alerts accordingly. It also generates statistics, collecting high-interest data through a series of easy-to-read dashboards. A multi-channel messaging system can send audio alerts, e-mails, SMS, or notifications using the most common instant messaging platforms such as Telegram, Messenger, or Cisco Webex.
