We’ve been chosen from Cisco Meraki among the Italian Devnet Community to present the latest features of VAPP to the wide audience of Codemotion.

From 24 to 25 October we will attend Codemotion, the biggest tech conference for software developers, which will be held at Superstudio in Milan. Codemotion is open to all coding languages and technologies, with a focus on topics such as Frontend/ Backend development, Security, DevOps/ Architecture, IoT/Maker, Cloud/Big Data, AI /Machine Learning, Design/UX, Game DEV and VR/AR.

We are pretty excited to join the event and talk about VAPP, explaining to the public how this powerful tool developed in collaboration with Cisco, is helping Meraki users to get even more from their networks.

VAPP allows them to add new tools extending capabilities of Meraki dashboard.
As many of you already know, VAPP is a project constantly in evolution whose goal is to provide innovative solutions to network administrators and marketers. In qualità di partner tecnologico Cisco Meraki nonché come proprietari della piattaforma VAPP Application Portal, dopo un periodo di sviluppo, il 17 luglio del 2019 abbiamo rilasciato MV People Count, la prima di una nuova famiglia di App appositamente progettate per le smart camera della serie MV Sense di Cisco Meraki.

MV People Count aggiunge alla dashboard VAPP la potenza della ‘Computer Vision Technology’ fornendo nuovi set di dati ricavati dalle telecamere. Store manager, marketer e addetti alla sicurezza potranno contare su uno strumento efficace per monitorare in tempo reale o in differita i flussi di utenti all’interno di uffici, negozi o interi centri commerciali, nel pieno rispetto della privacy dell’utenza in quanto i dati ricavati sono anonimi. So, there we were.

Cisco Live! in San Diego is over. For the lucky ones to be there or for those who followed the event in streaming, it was an unique occasion to touch the state of the art of technology. Important people have intervened in illuminating speech and big companies have spoken in enthusiastic terms of their experience with Cisco. This edition of Cisco Live! was particularly exciting for us because there was talk of our work. On June 10th George Bentinck, the Cisco Meraki Product Manager, in a focus on the new smart cameras used as sensors in business environment, introducing hybrid systems, illustrated some slides related to VAPP, the portal developed by us with Cisco and dedicated to Meraki users. Being one of the two partners in that important context fills us with satisfaction and pushes us to make every day better.

What a interesting week is coming!

As Cisco Meraki technology partner we’re very excited about the beginning of Cisco Live! the huge Cisco event hosted this year in San Diego, California from June 9-13. For four days The San Diego Convention Centre will be the technological navel of the wold, with more than 30,000 professionals, developers and journalists coming to experience the biggest full immersion in today’s and tomorrow’s new technologies: from blockchain, to 5G, passing through Wi-Fi 6, smart cameras and much more.

Cisco Meraki APIs and MV Smart Cameras will be the star!

Follow the George Bentinck session on June 11 at 2:30 – 3:30 pm local time to find out how smart cameras can be used as sensors and their data, processed individually or combined with those obtained from mobile devices. A mix of wireless and computer vision technology implementing a formidable analytics tool. Two days between strawberries, coffee and pajamas

First of all let us say one thing: what a wonderful atmosphere in Naples!
Those two days spent alongside the students involved in the Hack.gov and friends of Cisco who sponsored the challenge, were so exciting and very demanding. We slept maybe five hours in two days, but we’re ready to do it again.

As a technology partner, Cisco asked us to do as mentor for a group of students participating at the Hackaton’s Challenge #4, to do it at our best, we sent in Naples Fabrizio Favitta and Daniele Invincibile from the Bizmate developers team and Cisco Marki APIs experts, who took about forty students coming from all over the world to face the challenge, under their wings.

Divided into six teams of five each, girls and boys have worked hard for 48 hours no stop designing and developing digital solutions, to improve the life of a hypothetical urban area of about five million people. Mobility, optimization of energy consumption, healthcare, reduction of pollution and poverty, thanks to IoT mobile applications and Wi-Fi networks, were the topics.

At the end of this grueling marathon made of strawberries, coffee, people coding in pajamas, the winner of the Cisco Challenge was the Italian-Hispanic-Brazilian team R-Easy (Academy + Cisco) composed by Lello, Marta, Fabrizio, Carlos and Vincenzo, with an idea based on Apple Swift Language service, running on Cisco hardware. A solution that encourages community members to recycle, thanks to the possibility of accumulating rewards through a coherently developed APP.

So, a big thank you Cisco for the honor of the assignment and thanks to the girs and boys of the Z generation who really impressed us with their passion for information technology, innovation and environmental and sustainability issues.

Un hackathon per trasformare la pubblica amministrazione.

Dal 4 al 7 maggio 2019, Napoli ospiterà Hack.gov, una serie di iniziative focalizzate sullo sviluppo digitale della pubblica amministrazione. L’evento, che si svolgerà nelle due sedi dell’Apple Developer Academy e il Teatro San Carlo, darà modo a duecento giovani talenti internazionali di mettere alla prova la loro creatività sfidandosi nel corso di 12 challenge di 48 ore consecutive day&night con l’obiettivo di proporre soluzioni tecnologicamente all’avanguardia applicabili in ambiti come smart city, efficienza energetica, salute, sicurezza, tutela delle opere d’arte, servizi pubblici digitali e fact-checking.

Noi di Bizmate, in qualità di Cisco Meraki Eco System Partner e per l’esperienza acquisita nell’utilizzo delle API Meraki, avremo il privilegio di poter affiancare il team di mentor Cisco che darà supporto ai concorrenti della challenge “Servizi pubblici digitali per grandi aree urbane” provenienti dal Digital Transformation Lab di Napoli e dalle Cisco Networking Academy portoghesi e spagnole.

Una bella sfida, che ci vedrà ancora una volta mettere in campo le nostre competenze in un contesto internazionale estremamente innovativo.

Al termine della premiazione che si terrà presso il Teatro San Carlo in presenza dei Capi di Stato di Italia e Portogallo e del Re di Spagna Felipe VI, pubblicheremo il resoconto dell’evento.

Nel frattempo, dita incrociate per noi e un grande in bocca al lupo a tutti i partecipanti.
